Always use the IR extension lead, positioning at least one of the sensors along the lead in front of the display of the appliance connected to Flipper.
Flipper adopts a coding system on the remote control signal to avoid interference with other similar appliances, so if this coding is not activated, the remote control signal will not be transmitted. To see if the coding is activated, point the remote control on the Flipper receiver and press a button on any remote control, the four blue LED's on the Flipper receiver and transmitter should flash at the same time. If this does not happen then the coding of the two units has not been activated. In this case place the TWO UNITS at about 30 CENTIMETRES FROM EACH OTHER and CONNECTED TO THE POWER UNITS, repeat the RESET AND PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE as described in the instruction manual.
The procedure is completed successfully is, using any remote control, the four blue LED's on the receiver and transmitter all flash at the same time.
