If the disc is not being read, one of the following problems may be the reason:
- is the disc clean? Or are there scratches or fingerprints on the read side?
- is the disc loaded correctly with the title label facing upwards?
- is the disc 'Region 2' type?is the disc type supported by your DVD player? E.g. DVD-R, CD-RW, MP-3... (Check the User Manual to make sure).
If these controls do not solve the problem it may be caused by a fault in the laser or other component in the player. Now before contacting your local dealer carry out the following controls.
- Try using another type of disc in the DVD player to see whether the problem is limited to that specific type of disc or all discs.
- Clean the disc with neutral soap and water.
- Unplug the DVD player from the mains and reconnect it after 2 minutes.
- Try loading the disc.
- If the disc is still not being read then contact your local dealer.
