FAQ: TS8511: Advanced recovering procedure

Please follow this procedure only in case of real need.

Before proceding we higly suggest to lay up for a new empty SDcard (BackUp).

If your TS8511 navigation system has a not proper behaviour, it may need a recovering In case of failure of the basic procedure we suggest you an advanced one; please follow these steps:

  • Download this .RAR file and extract its content to your PC.
  • Copy the unzipped files into the root of the empty SD card (DON'T USE IN ANY CASE THE ORIGINAL TELE SYSTEM MAP CONTENTS SD CARD)
  • Supply the PND by connecting it to the PC through the USB cable.
  • After the removable disk detecting by the PC, execute the "Safe Removal" without unplugging the USB cable.
  • Insert the BackUp SDcard in the PND; keeping pushed the StandBy button on the top of the device, push also the Reset button on the rear panel.
  • Please wait for the complete OS image loading, highlighted by the SD card image on the display.
  • Remove the BackUp SDcard and execute the basic recovering procedure in every step.

It is recommended to accurately follow these steps in order to not compromise the functionality of the navigator and invalidate the warranty
